Smokehouse Family Box

For £10 more than the £50 voucher my sister gave me and my wife for my birthday in 2025, I finally got round this month to getting a Smokehouse family box delivered. It was more extensive and substantial than I had imagined. A medium-sized block of Italian smoked ham (pancetta) went a very long way indeed in several recipes when sawed into lardons, because of its rich flavour. Several pairs of smoked fish were specially tasty - a real cut above supermarket ones (which themselves are pretty good). And there was much else. Usefully (considering the amount of things) was the fact that we could easily tell which items could be frozen for future use, and which not. As a bonus we acquired a cylindrical freezable pad, which will no doubt last our freezer for many years. It looks as though the famous Hebridean Smokehouse has a run for their money - and we live in Scotland, too!
