Food lovers Taste of Lancashire

Bought two of these in recent days - one as a birthday present for my brother who has defected to Warwickshire to remind him of his home county. The other for my mum for Mother's Day. I had no idea of just how good these were until I watched her unwrap a Taste of Lancashire two days ahead of the big day in order to stash stuff in the fridge. Ten items in all including honey and sauce and smoked cheese and biscuits and haggis and sausages and ... more. it was wonderful to see her surprise and appreciation and hear her declaration at the end that this was the Best Hamper Ever. She's 87 and had her share of hampers. "It's lovely and so different and not at all ostentatious," she said. And that nails it. She plundered the potted shrimps, her favourite, last night. It will be kippers for lunch any minute now and smoked salmon with scrambled egg and some Champagne on Mother's Day proper. I personally consider it remarkable value for the price and, as a bonus, living not too far from their base, which I've visited in the past, I got free postage for my gift for my mother. Customer service is great, too, they responded really quickly to a query of mine. I was a bit concerned about postal delays but the ice packs kept everything chilled. Including me. I've already praised them on social media (Twitter and Facebook) with a picture of the spread so it's great to do so here, too.

I ordered this as a gift for my husbands birthday and i was so impressed with the quality of the products that are available within this hamper that we decided to place another order immediately for the after dinner hamper too!!
