Our cods roe is ready to eat, however the most popular way of eating it is to pan fry.

Melt a knob of butter in a pan over a medium heat and add slices of cods roe to the pan (roughly 1cm thick slices). Pan fry until golden brown, roughly 3-4 minutes. Serve with dark rye bread

Best ever smoked cod's roe

I have had this product from you several times and I continue to find it the best I have ever had.
The only criticism I would have is that when it was delivered it was left on my front door step, even though I was here at the time. The driver didn't knock or ring the door bell.

Excellent value

As above, smoked cods roe is very difficult to buy, but the product from Port of Lancaster was very good value, and a more than adequate amount. I would recommend this product and supplier.

Very salty cod’s roe

It’s difficult to find smoked cod’s roe nowadays so we were pleased to find it was available from the Port of Lancaster Smokehouse. Unfortunately as others have said it is much too salty.
