Our cods roe is ready to eat, however the most popular way of eating it is to pan fry.

Melt a knob of butter in a pan over a medium heat and add slices of cods roe to the pan (roughly 1cm thick slices). Pan fry until golden brown, roughly 3-4 minutes. Serve with dark rye bread

One pack was disappointingly wet!!

I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve ordered smoked cod’s roe from LSH and apart from one very small pack (kindly replaced when I mentioned it) one of these packs was just too wet. The roe was as tasty as ever but I literally poured a few spoonfuls of water out of the package and the roe remained just too wet. The taste is as exceptional as ever but maybe quality control needs to be a little more vigilant.
